NEWS AND UPDATES
Here's what I have been up to recently!

My March Roundup!
It was a busy March for me in my role as Southend West and Leigh's MP!
A busy month with a visit from the Health Secretary, a new Community Diagnostic Centre opening up, and of course City Day!
You can find my highlights, and what I've been up to in previous months, by clicking below!
We Love Westcliff!
🌱❤️ It's time to show #WeLoveWestcliff! ❤️🌱
I've launched #WeLoveWestcliff to work with anyone and everyone who wants to chip in and make it a brighter place for all of us.
I want to explore how we can regenerate, improve, and rejuvenate the area - ending flytipping, fixing pavements, tackling ASB, and bringing pride to the area. Find out more if this sounds like something you'd be up for!

See Every Need
🧩👪 Young people with SEND and their families deserve support and to have their voices heard. See Every Need is designed to do just that. 👪🧩
The SEND crisis was something I had been aware of before I had the privilege of being elected as the Member of Parliament for Southend West and Leigh in July 2024.
Since then, after meeting with many different charities, parents, children, educators, and others, my understanding and genuine frustration has only grown. Indeed, my office and I have supported more than 100 cases on behalf of constituents with SEND concerns – that's why we need action not just words.
Opportunity Southend
🏗️❤️ Southend is an amazing city with enormous potential - it just needs some champions to fight its corner. ❤️🏗️
Alongside my colleague in Southend East and Rochford, and my Labour colleagues in Southend City Council, I'm leading on Opportunity Southend - designed to bring Southend and Leigh firmly into the 21st Century.
Southend must see Government funding to unlock infrastructure opportunities, new services, and a City that's healthier, happier, and resilient.

Men's Mental Health
🧠🫶 Men's mental health is personal, because like many I have lost someone close to me to suicide. I'm working with charities and colleagues to raise awareness. 🫶🧠
I will keep working with key stakeholders to champion good Men's mental health and start to drive a positive change.
That's why, alongside taking a role on the APPG for Male Suicide and being part of the Mental Health Bill Committee, I've been doing some other localised and national work to raise awareness and fight for change.
