September Roundup!
Every month, I'm out and about across Southend West and Leigh as well as working hard in Westminster as your voice in Parliament.
As well as voting on new legislation to improve people's lives here at home and across the country, I'm also meeting brilliant local people and championing local voices.
Here's what I got up to recently!
My September Roundup!
As always, September was a very busy month with work in both Westminster and Southend West & Leigh. Here are SIX highlights of this month's work!
Miles for Lives!

I was so humbled to be joined by a great group of volunteers as we trekked the boundary of the constituency and raised more than £1,200 for vital life-saving bleed kits. The funds are for the Liam Taylor Legacy and I'm so pleased that the team and I can make a contribution to such a worthy cause.

Young Voices Championed
This month saw my very first Youth Day! With more than 60 young people from local schools in attendance, they heard about post-16 opportunities from local Apprentice star Chisola Chitambala, Neurodiversity from Southend's great Youth Council, and public safety from Julie Taylor, Quinton Green and Brad from MERE!

Pawlitics!
I couldn't be more proud of my dalmatian Lotti as she joined me in Westminster for the Westminster Dog of the Year Competition. Although she sadly didn't win the Sir David Amess Pawblic Vote Award this year, Steve Darling MP's gorgeous dog Jenny is more than a worthy winner! A special thank you to The Kennel Club and Dogs Trust for continuing to honour Sir David's legacy and love of all things with paws - especially dogs.
Talking About Regeneration

It's time to show that We Love Westcliff! I launched my newest campaign this month, which will bring together residents, local organisations, and community groups to play their part in rejuvenating the area - from ending flytipping and fixing payments, to tackling ASB and restoring civic pride.

A New Coat
The team and I got stuck in this month and helped the Trinity Family Centre in Westcliff with a new lick of paint as part of their refurbishments. I hope people pop into the shop when they can, not just to admire our handiwork but also to support the great work they do at the Trinity Family Centre for those in need.

Casework Wins
Across October, my team and I helped constituents with over 660 new cases and answered more than 1,600 emails. Particular highlights included helping constituents apply for social housing, expedited urgent mental health support for a constituent in need, and actioned concerns around delayed Anti-Social Behaviour by working with the Police and the Council.
