Westcliff is a fantastic part of Southend, and needs the love and attention that it deserves. From fly-tipping to potholes and ASB to community pride, my inbox is often seeing residents wanting more from their local area! #WeLoveWestcliff is here to bring anyone and everyone together to make Westcliff happier, brighter, and fit for the future!
What is #WeLoveWestcliff?
A community campaign designed to tackle the issues facing residents in Westcliff by working with local agencies and local people. The three main focuses of this campaign are:
Fly-Tipping & Waste
Working with Government, the Police and the Local Authority, we're exploring innovative ways to tackle fly-tipping with new powers and new solutions.
Anti-Social Behaviour
By partnering with the Police, I want to determine how we can improve the response rates to and lower recurrence of Anti-Social Behaviour.
Road/Pavement Quality
Nobody likes their road or pavement to be in an unfit state - I want to see potholes filled and pavements repaired wherever possible.
Celebrate Civic Pride
Celebrating grassroots civic pride in Westcliff is core to this campaign, and I'm looking forward to working with local groups to achieve this!
Phase One Completed!
The first three #WeLoveWestcliff meetings have taken place, and they have been hugely positive, bringing local leaders and stakeholders together to discuss how we can benefit Westcliff and its community by building a place we can all be proud of.
There's lots of work to be done, and I am looking forward to working with everyone and anyone who wants to get involved!
